
What Is Kajabi? Here's What You Need to Know

I want to share what I've learned about Kajabi — what it does, how it works, and why it's become such a popular choice for individuals building online businesses. Whether you're a complete beginner or just curious, think of this as a friendly walkthrough.
So, what exactly is Kajabi?
At its core, Kajabi is an all-in-one platform. That means you don't need to juggle five different tools to run your business. You can create a website, sell products, collect payments, email your audience, run webinars, and even build an online community — all from the same place.
When I first signed in, I was surprised by how clean and organized the dashboard looked. It walks you through every step. Want to create a course? There's a button for that. Want to set up a coaching package or sell a downloadable PDF? It's all there.
And speaking of products, Kajabi lets you create all kinds of them. You can create comprehensive online courses that include videos, worksheets, quizzes, and progress tracking. Alternatively, you can conduct live coaching sessions and allow clients to book time with you. If you host a podcast or want to sell access to a private newsletter, that's possible.
Previously, I've used other platforms. And I've had my share of headaches trying to connect this thing to that thing, embedding forms, figuring out email delivery, and fixing broken pages. Kajabi eliminates all of that. It's all under one login. That's the real appeal — convenience.
Let's discuss websites for a moment. Kajabi lets you build one without needing to hire a designer or know how to code. One of my favourite things about Kajabi is how easy it makes the selling process.

And if you want help promoting what you've built? Kajabi's got you covered there, too. You can set up email campaigns, create funnels, automate follow-ups, and schedule webinars or live events. You don't have to plug into another service like Mailchimp or ConvertKit—email marketing is built in.
I also love how Kajabi handles customer management. Every lead or buyer is stored in your contact list. You can tag people based on what they signed up for or where they are in your funnel. That means you can send targeted messages — such as reminding someone to complete their course or offering a special deal to those who clicked but didn't make a purchase.
To provide a real-world example, let's say you're a fitness coach. With Kajabi, you could build a course on mobility exercises, add bonus downloads, create a coaching package, and launch a paid newsletter. Then, you'd use the email feature to send out tips and updates. And you'd track it all using the analytics tab to see who's engaging and making a purchase.
Same as other web development platforms, Kajabi isn't free — but they do offer a 30-day trial, which is a good window to test everything. After that, you pay monthly based on the number of products, contacts, and features you want. The price might feel high at first, but when you factor in that it replaces five or six separate tools, it works out.
Do yourself a favour—if you’re not convinced, take a few minutes to compare the cost of Kajabi with the total price of all the separate tools you’d need to run your business. You might be surprised to see that Kajabi actually costs less once you add everything up.
My biggest takeaway.
Kajabi makes you feel like a business owner. Not a tech support agent, not a designer, not a scattered mess trying to duct-tape tools together. You get to focus on your content and your audience.
